Mulroy Links Tournament: 8th – 12th October 2017

Green Golf Travel invite you to comepete in the 2017 Mulroy Links Tournament. This new event for 2017 which is open to Ladies & Gents, team of four any combination, is a residential tournament with golf on three of the finest links in Ireland with all competitors staying in the Rosapenna Hotel.

Arrival on Sunday the 8th of October for a practice round on either championship links at Rosapenna followed by a welcome drinks reception & dinner in the Vardon Restaurant overlooking Sheephaven Bay.

Monday the 9th will be the first tournament round over the Old Tom Morris Links, the format will be four person teams marking a singles card with 3 scores from 4 counting toward the team total each day. There will also be singles prizes, daily & overall.

On Tuesday the 10th round two will be played over the picturesque Portsalon Golf Links in Fanad, just a 2okm drive from your base at Rosapenna Hotel.

​The third and final round will be played over the stunning Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna on Wednesday the 11th. All players are invited to attend the Gala Presentation dinner in the Vardon Restaurant that night followed by traditional Irish Music & entertainment.

Monday 9th October – Old Tom Morris Links at Rosapenna

One of the most storied links in Ireland the original course designed by Old Tom Morris of St Andrews opened for play in 1893.

Further enhancements were made in the early 1900’s byJames Braid & Harry Vardon as well as Harry Colt of Pine Valley fame.

The Old Links is as a traditional links test as any Open Championship venue with views on the back nine that are unparalleled.

Portsalon Links Donegal

Tuesday 10th October – Portsalon Golf Links

Portsalon Golf club was founded by Colonel B.J Barton in 1891.

Colonel Barton established the Portsalon hotel and golf links and was very forward thinking in Portsalon becoming one of the founder member of the Golfing Union of Ireland, the oldest golf union in the world.

The course was designed by Charles Thompson, the Portrush professional.

The links quickly earned a reputation as one of the best in Ireland and attracted visitors from near and far.

Wednesday 11th October – Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna

This world class links course, which opened in 2003 has been a great addition to this golfing mecca receiving acclaim from the golfing public while also reaching No.11 in Golf World’s Top 100 in Ireland 2015 rankings.

This modern links has undergone significant changes under Beau Welling over the last few seasons improving the playability for all levels of golfer.
